MONDAY, APRIL 6, DAY 1: DEPART U.S.A
On our way to the Holy Land

TUESDAY, APRIL 7, DAY 2: ARRIVE BEN GURION AIRPORT / TRANSFER TO JERUSALEM
In Tel Aviv, we will be met by our guide, Canon Iyad Qumri, and transfer to our accommodation in Jerusalem.
Dinner and overnight at the Guest House of St. George's Anglican Cathedral.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 8, DAY 3: HORIZONS OF JERUSALEM
Introductions; walk down to Damascus Gate to get the feel for the distance and surroundings. Afternoon: Mount Scopus, a view of the Judean desert, Mount of Olives, City of David.
Dinner and overnight at the Guest House of St. George's Anglican Cathedral.

THURSDAY, APRIL 9, DAY 4: NABLUS / TAYBEH
Depart for Nablus to visit St. Photini, the Greek Orthodox Monastery. St. Photini, the Samaritan woman whom Christ visited at the well and asked for water, lived in first century Palestine. The church is built over Jacob’s well; we will tour the church and drink from the well. Lunch in Taybeh (Kan Zaman Restaurant). Afternoon: visit Taybeh, the only 100% Christian town in the Palestinian Authority. In the fourth century the Emperor Constantine and his mother St. Helen built the church of St. George in the village. The ruins of the Church are still found on a hill in the town. Taybeh is also the home of the only Palestinian brewery in the Middle East. We return to Jerusalem.

FRIDAY, APRIL 10, Day 5: SHEPHERD’S FIELD / BETHLEHEM
Depart Jerusalem for Bethlehem and the Shepherds’ Field and visit a 1st century cave dwelling. Lunch is in Beit Sahour (Shepherds’ Field). ‘ And in that region there were shepherds in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.’ Visit Church of the Nativity located in Manger Square, constructed by Constantine in AD 326 and the traditional site of the Nativity. Visit SUNBULA: Founded in 1996, Sunbula’s mission is to support Palestinian women’s cooperatives and disabled people’s self help groups by providing marketing and sales opportunities for their products. SATURDAY, APRIL 11, DAY 6: JERICHO / NAZARETH
Visit Wadi Qelt early morning to watch the sunrise and get the feel of the desert, depart for Jericho to hike up Mt. of Temptation and view Tell Jericho. Lunch: in Jericho before we begin our trip up the Rift Valley to Nazareth. In Nazareth visit Mary’s Well, the only spring-fed fountain in the city, and most likely the place where Mary would have gone to draw water. Visit the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation where we will have an introduction to the Icon; follow on foot the path to the Church of the Annunciation, the traditional site of the Angel Gabriel’s appearance to Mary, telling her she would conceive Jesus.
Dinner and overnight at the Sisters of Nazareth.

SUNDAY, APRIL 12, DAY 7: SHEFA-AMR / SEPPHORIS
Depart for Shefa-Amr, worship at St. Paul’s Church in Shefa—Amr, lunch at Abu Zaki restaurant in Shefa Amr, Zippori. Visit Sepphoris and explore the excavations of the Roman/Byzantine city
Dinner and overnight at Sisters of Nazareth.

MONDAY, APRIL 13, DAY 8: SEA OF GALILEE / JORDAN RIVER / CAPERNAUM & MT. OF THE BEATITUDES
Depart for Sea of Galilee-Lake Kinnereth. Stop at the Jordan River for the renewal of Baptismal vows. Visit Capernaum and see the ancient synagogue and St. Peter’s House. Continue to the Mount of Beatitudes, Lunch by the Sea of Galilee, followed by a visit to Tabgha (Heptapegon), The Loaves and Fishes Church.
Dinner and overnight at Sisters of Nazareth.

TUESDAY, APRIL 14, DAY 9: MT. TABOR / DEAD SEA
Depart for Mt.Tabor and continue to Jerusalem via the Jordan Valley. Lunch at the Dead Sea, where you will have the option to swim – or really, float (Rocky Beach)
Dinner and overnight at the Guest House of St. George's Anglican Cathedral
Guest Speaker: Lecture on Islam


WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15, DAY 10: WESTERN WALL / DOME OF THE ROCK
Depart for the Western Wall near Elharam Esh Sharif (The Dome of The Rock and the Al-Aqsa Mosque), St. Anne’s Church and the pools of Bethesda.

THURSDAY, APRIL 16, DAY 11: BETH-PHAGE / DOMINUS FLEVIT / GETHSEMANE
Depart for Beth-phage and Mt. of Olives walk down the Palm Sunday Road ending at the Garden of Gethsemane. Lunch. Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, built over the palace of the High Priest Caiaphas, where Peter denied Jesus three times.
Dinner in Jericho at the Qumris home (the home of our guide). Overnight at the Guest House of St. George's Anglican Cathedral.

FRIDAY, APRIL 17, DAY 12: WAY OF THE CROSS & EMMAUS
Early this morning we walk and pray the Way of the Cross. Later we depart for Emmaus Nicopolis. We celebrate the Eucharist at the ruins of the Byzantine Church
Afternoon and evening at leisure. Overnight at the Guest House of St. George's Anglican Cathedral.

SATURDAY, APRIL 18, DAY 13: FREE DAY IN JERUSALEM
Worship in the evening. Overnight at the Guest House of St. George's Anglican Cathedral.

SUNDAY, APRIL 19, DAY 14
Transfer to the Tel Aviv airport for our return flight to the USA
